NCAA Football: Colgate at Army Danny Wild-USA TODAY Sports

Army is going to a bowl game. Air Force is not. Navy is not.

The Black Knights are also ranked in the AP (23) and Coaches (24) polls this week, which has led bowl projectors to put them in some bigger and better games. In some cases, experts are predicting that Army could be a replacement pick in certain bowls over teams that have Power 5 tie-ins. But lots of others still have Army slated to play SMU in Fort Worth.

Here’s where the folks looking into crystal balls have Army headed after Week 13...

Takeaways

Army facing SMU in Forth Worth seems boring. The Black Knights getting another shot at a Power 5 team could be fun.

The Cheez-It Bowl would basically be a home game for the Sun Devils, but facing an Arizona State defense that hasn’t played a triple option team and allows 156.3 yards per-game could bode well for the Black Knights.
