NCAA Football: Cincinnati at Navy Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

Navy is in Cincinnati this week as they take on the upstart Bearcats under second year head coach Luke Fickell. Cincy is off to a 7-1 start on the season, with their lone loss coming at the hands of the Temple Owls in their last outing.

Of note, both Navy and Cincinnati lost to Temple by the same score, 24-17, though the Owls needed overtime to knock off the Bearcats.

Navy enters the contest having lost five games in a row and needing to win out in order to get to bowl eligibility on the season. There is no room for error, but a win against a very good Bearcats squad could be just what the doctor ordered as the Midshipmen must face another top ranked opponent in UCF next weekend.

Look for the offense to continue to gain some consistency as Garret Lewis gets another start at quarterback, with Malcolm Perry remaining at slotback and Zach Abey at receiver. If they can pick up where they left off in the second half against Notre Dame, the Midshipmen should be able to get back on track with a much needed victory on the road.
