Army heads to Texas to take on University of Houston in the Armed Forces Bowl

The Black Knights are heading to the Armed Forces Bowl (yet again).

The Black Knights are heading to Texas to take on the Houston Cougars in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl.

The Armed Forces Bowl will be on Saturday, Dec. 22 in Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas. The game will be broadcast on ESPN and WatchESPN at 3:30 pm EST.

The Cougars (8-4, 5-3 in AAC) will present an interesting matchup with the loss of their QB D’Eriq King, and DT Ed Oliver. King suffered a torn meniscus after the Cougar’s victory over Tulane earlier this season and Oliver is skipping this year’s bowl game to declare for the draft.

While this is the third straight bowl appearance for Jeff Monken’s team, this isn’t the first introduction for Army and this bowl game. Last year, the Black Knights faced San Diego State in the Armed Forces Bowl, beating them 35-42.
