For the second year in the row, the Army West Point baseball team will be hitting the road post-graduation to compete in the NCAA tournament having secured a bid by winning the Patriot League tournament against Navy a weekend ago.
Last year, the Black Knights headed down to Raleigh and took game one from the host team, the NC State Wolfpack. They were routed in the next two outings against Auburn and NC State, but the fact that they were able to pull out a win in game one against the top seed in the regional was impressive.
This year, they will be headed to Lubbock, TX to play in the regional hosted by the Texas Tech Raiders.
The other teams in the regional are the three seed Florida Gators and second seed Dallas Baptist University.

Texas Tech is the #8 overall seed in the tournament, and will present an extremely tough challenge for a team looking to come out and win another regional game for the second year in a row. We all know that Army will be up the challenge as one of the best tournaments of the year gets underway!
