Air Force’s women’s basketball team will play five games this season outside of the Mountain West Conference.
The program released its non-conference slate for the upcoming season on Monday, which features a pair of games against nearby Denver, which competes in the Summit League.
Air Force tips its season off this Wednesday at home in its first game vs. Denver at 5 p.m. MT. The Falcons will play a return game at the Pioneers on Dec. 20. Denver was 15-15 last season. Air Force is 22-39 all-time vs. Denver, last facing the Pioneers in 2018.
The Falcons will not make cross-country trips to Army or Navy this year.
Here’s the full non conference slate:
- Nov. 25 vs. Denver
- Nov. 28 at Colorado
- Dec. 1 vs. Omaha
- Dec. 16 at Oral Roberts
- Dec. 20 at Denver
The Falcons will begin Mountain West play on Dec. 4, playing the first of two straight games at home vs. Nevada.
This season will be the sixth for Falcons’ head coach Chris Gobrecht. Under her direction last season, Air Force scored 60.1 points per-game and went 7-11 in conference play, the program’s most single-season Mountain West wins since joining the league in 1999.
Returning for Air Force this season is leading scorer Kaelin Immel, who averaged 15.3 points per-game last season. Leading rebounder Emily Conroe is also back after averaging 8.1 points and 7.5 boards per-game as a junior. Riley Snyder, who averaged 14.2 points per-game last season, is back too.
The Falcons were picked to finish seventh in the preseason Mountain West poll.
