And here’s some recent Air Force related things of note…
- The Falcons have yet to commit 100 percent to playing Army and Navy this fall in the annual C.I.C. Trophy games. However, if you’re rooting for those games to happen, this piece from Chris Vannini at the Athletic seems promising. The AD’s at Army, Navy and Air Force meet via Google call every Monday.
“I’m thrilled their conference recognized the unique academy characteristics and allowed them the opportunity to play us,” Army athletic director Mike Buddie said of the Air Force game. “We’re thrilled they’re coming here in November.”
Still, Air Force AD Nathan Pine says that final answers are “a few weeks away.”
- Our friends at Mountain West Connection wrote about the C.I.C. Series being the last hope for MWC football this fall.
- An assistant coach for the Falcons in 2010 and 2011, Devin West is returning to Air Force’s track and field coaching staff to oversee sprinters and hurdlers.
