Against All Enemies is aiming to bolster its staff and is hiring for a variety of positions.

Our best candidates will:

• Have a passion for college sports, specifically at the Service Academies.
• Have writing and/or digital media experience — and experience writing about college sports.
• The ability to edit and write clean copy.
• The ability to communicate efficiently.
• Be comfortable working in a remote environment.
• Have an interest in storytelling, writing and reporting on the intersection of sports and the military.

What are the positions we’re hiring for? Who do those roles entail?

Assistant Site Manager

Duties: This person will assist the site manager in editing stories, posting on social media and managing the front-page layout. This person will also contribute original stories to Against All Enemies on a regular basis. Past editing experience is preferred. Experience with Chorus (SB Nation’s content management system) is preferred, but not required.

Air Force Beat Writer

Duties: This person will be responsible for covering all things related to the Air Force Falcons. They will produce a minimum of two stories a week during football season, and a minimum of one story a week for the rest of the year.

Contributors

Duties: This person will identify a sport played by the Service Academies that they are interested in covering or are an expert in (ex: women’s lacrosse, men’s soccer, wrestling, etc.). They will produce at least one story a week on that sport during its season. During that sport’s offseason, this person is still expected to write at least once a month, on any topic related to sports at the Service Academies. We will be hiring two people in this role.

Yes, these positions are paid.

Each is a contract role compensated with a monthly stipend.
