Navy’s football team is supposed to play this Saturday, apparently.
*fingers crossed*
The Midshipmen had three straight games postponed due to various problems related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of those scrapped games, Navy hasn’t played since Halloween, when they were thrashed 51-37 by SMU in Dallas.
But the American Athletic Conference rejiggered its schedule a bit and found new dates for Navy’s games against Memphis and Tulsa.
Navy will host Memphis this Saturday, Nov. 28 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis. The conference announced Monday that the game will kick off at 7 p.m. on CBS Sports Network. John Sadak and Randy Cross will have the call, while Tina Cervasio reports from the sidelines.
The Mids will have been off for 28 days when they take the field vs. the Tigers.
It’ll be the fourth time Navy has played on CBS Sports Network this season. The Mids are 1-2 in those games.
Navy is 3-2 all-time vs. Memphis, although the Tigers won at home last season, 35-23. Navy has never lost to Memphis at home.
Kickoff time and TV information for Navy’s home game vs. Tulsa on Dec. 5 will be announced at a later date.
Navy is currently 3-4 on the season and 3-2 in AAC play.
