It was another typical week on the diamond for the academies. Air Force scored 75 runs in five games, and Army dominated Navy once again.
But with three home series on the ledger, we could have some victories. Heading into March, all three sit right around five hundred.

Air Force
The offense keeps chugging along for the Air Force Falcons! In all but one game over the past week, Air Force scored double-digit runs.
It began on Friday as the Falcons scored a season-high 21 runs. They would hit four home runs and nine doubles as Paul Skenes struck out eight in six innings.
On Saturday, we saw more hitting as the Falcons racked up 17 hits but fell victim to a six-run third inning. Sunday, the Falcons tallied 15 runs to take their second series of the season against the Fresno State Bulldogs. Paul Skenes hit two bombs and rallied in seven RBI en route to Mountain West Player of the Week honors on Sunday.
The offense wouldn’t stop there as the Falcons scored 18 runs in seven innings, run ruling the Kansas Jayhawks by a score of 18-8 on Tuesday. They would fall victim on Wednesday, falling 13-9.
Air Force will host first-place UNLV over the weekend.
Army – Navy
Army swept its second doubleheader of the season against Navy, taking the five-game series by winning two of three over the weekend.
On Saturday, Army’s pitching staff shut Navy down, giving up four runs in 16 innings of ball. Connelly Early pitched a complete game in the opener, giving up three earned runs in seven innings of work. Robbie Buecker followed in game two by giving up no earned runs in five innings of work.
Sunday’s action saw Navy avoid the sweep against Army, shutting out the Black Knights by a score of 5-0. Matthew Shirah and Nolen Jorgenson combined to pitch 8.2 innings of scoreless ball.
